UE LIVE is the best-in-class listening solution for musicians, studio engineers and audiophiles who want a big, full sound. From deep lows to beautiful highs, UE LIVE will give you everything you want to hear—and more. Musicians love UE LIVE for its high headroom and faithful reproduction of music, whether they’re performing in a live venue or recording at the studio. For a detailed monitoring experience, you can’t go wrong with UE LIVE. In this article, we’ll give you more detail about UE LIVE and discuss what makes it a great sound signature for performing and critical listening.
Experience the culmination of 25 years of groundbreaking design and technology. We designed our original UE 5 sound signature for Alex Van Halen in the back of a tour bus. Since then, we’ve added other unique sound signatures to the lineup. Our flagship UE LIVE reflects a relentless pursuit for innovation and an undying devotion to music professionals around the world.
UE LIVE delivers the perfect blend of detail and musicality whether you’re on stage, in the studio or anywhere in between. Featuring eight dynamic drivers and a 5-way crossover that reproduces sound from 5Hz to 40kHz, UE LIVE delivers highly accurate sound. This level of detail creates an immersive audio experience on stage and allows you to hear it all. “UE LIVE is boosted across the board to give you extra everything,” says Service Manager John Talley. “In addition to a full sound signature, you get great headroom, fullness, clarity and detail.” Choose the UE LIVE sound signature for the most realistic listening experience. Even the most discerning audiophiles gravitate towards the rich audible presence of UE LIVE—if you want to hear what it was like to be in the studio with your favorite artists, you can’t go wrong with this sound signature.
To create an immersive listening experience, the UE LIVE rejects up to -26db of noise to eliminate distracting sounds, whether you’re performing on stage or mixing in the studio. All UE earphones and IEMs block outside sound using passive noise isolation, which most audiophiles prefer over active noise cancellation, or ANC. What’s the difference between passive noise isolation and ANC? Passive noise isolation blocks sound naturally, whereas ANC is known to cause ear fatigue because of its distorted sound quality. Worried about feeling too isolated on stage? UE PRO models have an optional ambient port that allows stage ambiance to reach your eardrum through a -12dB filter. When the ports are closed, you’ll experience the full -26dB of noise isolation. This feature is great for casual listeners who don’t want to feel disconnected from everything around them.
Take UE LIVE with you, whether you’re on stage or at home. We offer two types of cables to accommodate different applications—wireless Bluetooth and wired SuperBax. For performing live, choose our SuperBax cable for a road-ready connection built to withstand heavy use. If you’re listening at home or traveling, connect the Bluetooth cable and pair your earphones with a mobile device. With two connection options, you get the flexibility to use your earphones or IEMs in any setting. Both are rated sweat resistant, so you can go hard in your UE PROs.
